FROM SURVIVAL TO PRESENCE

Living in “survival mode” keeps us on the surface: reacting to the day-to-day while feeling disconnected from nature, others, and ourselves.

Our inner world is a complex ecosystem where thoughts and emotions often crowd the space. Time in nature and mindfulness serve as grounding companions to help settle the nervous system. By quieting the noise, we create the clarity needed for small, meaningful shifts. When these ripple outward, they nurture the seeds of a more peaceful way of being that already live within us.

What it’s like to work together

“Katrina’s calm guidance through a series of exercises helped me connect deeply with the forest and my own nervous system. I felt at home in the forest, and appreciated the various suggestions to listen with my feet, my breath, and other senses that often stay in the background when I normally walking through the forest. This type of medicine is my favorite: preventative, restorative, reflective. I come away a little softer than I was before.

Katriina provided a thorough (online) presentation on Forest Therapy for our company to better understand the subject. The presentation seamlessly blended science and psychology principles to support the movement behind forest bathing. Katriina was lovely to work with; accommodating and had very insightful well thought out presentation prepared for us. Hope to learn more from her in the future.
